E-ZINES & OTHER ACTIVITIES
MARIE DELGADO TRAVIS is the Poetry Editor for the award-winning e-zine, Long Short Short (Denise Cassino, Linda Barnett-Johnson, Editors), voted by Writer's Digest's readers as one of the 101 BEST SITES FOR WRITERS (2004-10) for six consecutive years.
Marie has been a regular contributor to LSS since March 2005. Her poems "Bijoux" and "Origami" were named POEMS OF THE MONTH in April-May 2005 (Gloria Pimentel, then Poetry Editor) and was one of the site's five FEATURED POETS during 2006 (Sue Scott, Editor). Her past columns for LSS include Marie's Musing, Travis Travel Tips and Poet's Challenge.
Marie is also SPANISH POETRY IN TRANSLATION EDITOR for LanguageandCulture.net. In 2005, LanguageandCulture.net published Marie's first chapbook, ANOCHECER / NIGHTFALL (Liz Fortini, Editor). Marie’s bilingual poem, "Para El" won HONORABLE MENTION in a POETRY IN TRANSLATION contest sponsored by the site (2005).
